After a twenty-year career in government and business in Hungary and also abroad Dr. András Pákay established the Law Office in 1995. Dr. Sándor Gyurkovics attorney-at-law, state secretary of the Ministry of Transport in the previous ten years, joined the Law Office in 2000. In the heart of Budapest City, in the centre of government, business and financial life, in an area of about 350 sqm, the Office works currently with twelve lawyers and six legal assistants carry out their activities.

The Law Office keeps contacts with several European, North-American law offices and besides domestic issues regularly handles international cases and transactions. Beside Hungarian our colleagues work in English, German and French as well. Our colleagues’ deep theoretical knowledge is complemented by the invaluable experience they have gained from working on local and international projects and transactions.

 Hungarian central and local governmental bodies and institutions, significant Hungarian companies, well-known foreign companies with interest in Hungary are among our clients. The Law Office appears on the list of recommended attorneys of several foreign embassies in Budapest.

Dr. András Pákay is an active participant - in cooperation with a global investment bank -  in significant equity and bond issues, preparation and implementation of international acquisitions and mergers in Hungary and in neighbouring countries

Dr. Sándor Gyurkovics has been the Chairman of the State Examination Committee for years at Faculty of Law and Political Science, Pázmány Péter Catholic University, and at Széchenyi István University, furthermore he is a lecturer and examiner of postgraduate courses at ELTE Legal Postgraduate Institute.
